Announcement

I am pleased to announce that Brother Glenn Forbes has accepted an Assistant Business Manager’s position at the System Council office effective August 1, 2005. As most of you are aware, Brother Glenn comes to this position with a great deal of knowledge and experience that he gained from his many years of dedicated service to the Brotherhood, in the numerous capacities that he has held at the Local Union level and as a Committeeman for the System Council. As Assistant Business Manager, he will assume the duties of Contract Interpretation, Grievance Resolution, and Arbitration and will also assist in the Apprenticeship and Negotiations arena. Please join with me in welcoming Brother Glenn to his new position. I would also ask that you help support him during his transition period.

As a result of Brother Glenn’s appointment, he will resign from the position of System Committeeman effective at the close of business at the Regular System Council meeting July 24^th, creating a vacancy on the System Committee. In accordance with the By-Laws of the System Council, the Executive Board will take action to fill that position and any other vacancy occurring as a result of filling the Committeemen position at a Special Called Executive Board Meeting to be held on July 24, 2005, at the conclusion of the regular scheduled System Council Meeting.
