Lab Technicians in Nuclear Division Request

Union Representation

Last month 100% of the Lab Technicians in the Nuclear Division signed cards giving the Union authorization to represent them in collective bargaining with Florida Power and Light Company.

Subsequently, the Union filed a petition with the National Labor Relations Board requesting certification, which was granted last week through a Stipulation of Agreement between the Union and Company, allowing for a vote by the Lab Technicians without having to conduct a hearing on the matter.

The vote is scheduled on September 24, 2003, at each of the Nuclear Sites. All Nuclear Bargaining Unit Employees are encouraged to show their support for the Lab Technicians.
