Apprentice Line Specialist Jobs

 

The Power Systems-Distribution Business Unit may be posting additional Apprentice Line Specialist jobs this year. Through discussions and analysis between the Company and Union, it has been determined that there will not be enough qualified applicants for the jobs within the Business Unit. As a result, those employees who have transfer requests submitted to the Business Manager of the System Council and the Director of Labor Relations at the time the job is posted will be considered to have bid the job in accordance with Paragraph 20 (z) of the MOA.

 These jobs will be located predominately in the Miami-Dade and Broward locations and will require passing a three-week climbing school pre-qualification at the Training Methods Center in Miami.

 It is suggested that any employee who has already submitted a transfer request from another Business Unit review and/or update that request to reflect the proper classification and/or location(s) immediately. It is also suggested that any employee who desires one of these jobs that has not submitted a transfer request do so immediately. Forms can be obtained from the Bargaining Unit Clerk in your location or on-line at In- FPL by selecting Quick Reference, HR Forms, FPL Utility, then select and print the Transfer Form Memo from the menu. Once the form is completed fax it to the Council Office, Labor Relations and J-Post per the instructions on the form.
