Common Proposals

 The Company and Union met 3 days last week discussing the common proposals that were gathered from the Local Unions.  The Company has responded by countering the union’s issues with their options.   

The items that are being discussed include;

• Nuclear MOU

• Improvements to Wages

• Increases to the lump sum pension deposits

• Medical/Rx

• Improvements to Lodging and Transportation

• Short Term Disability 

• Improving the sick leave replenishment days and addressing chronic conditions that affect employees sick bank

• Retroactive Pay

• 420 transfer of pension to retiree medical. 

 It appears that we are making some progress and it is both parties desire to finalize negotiations and get a package to the members for a vote as soon as possible. 

 We will continue with discussions this week however one of the major remaining issues includes the Company’s proposal on additional changes in our Medical/Prescription drug plan.
