Tentative Agreement
The
Company and Union have been discussing the changes in the proposal during
the past two weeks and have reached a tentative agreement pending
executive approval. It includes the following:

An additional increase
to the wage package in the form of a basic pension credit

Lump sum retro pay, split between
ratification and January 06, which also includes a basic pension credit
to all employees
-
Increase to the
original pension lump sum offer
-
Enhanced pension benefits
-
Improvements to the
per diem
-
Positive enhancements
to the Nuclear MOUs
-
Increases to the sick
time replacement provision
-
Slight modification to
medical premiums (inflationary increase for 2005/2006)
The System Committee will be working on a
handout for each member that will explain the highlights of the proposal.
It should be in the field prior to the packages being distributed. It is
anticipated that the vote of the membership should be complete by July 15,
2005.
All
legal issues have been resolved with our web site and it is hopeful that
it should be up and running by next week. Once it is active we will be
posting our bulletins as in the past. |
