Proposal Package

 The Union’s Negotiating Committee has reached final agreement with the Company on the latest contract proposal.  We are presently working on finalizing the proposal package and an informational overview which will be mailed to all bargaining unit employees.  The overview will provide details on changes to the last proposal and highlight all the proposed changes to the 2000 contract. 

 Although it was reported in FPL’s FYI News, sent to managers and supervisors, that the System Council Meeting would be scheduled on July 1, 2005, final arrangements have not been made as of this date.  It is anticipated that a special called Executive Board meeting to fill the Business Manager’s vacancy and a special called System Council meeting for the contract proposal will be held sometime early in July. 

 The System Council web site (www.scu4ibew.org ) is up and running and bulletins can once again be accessed.  Our web master is in the process of updating and correcting information contained on the site since it went down.  We thank you for your patience and understanding while we worked through this issue.
