Contract Proposal

 The Contract Proposal which comes with a unanimous recommendation to accept by the Negotiation Committee was mailed to the System Council Officers and Delegates last week in preparation for the upcoming special called System Council Meeting on July 6, 2005.

 Along with the proposal, the Committee included the following summary which was developed by the Committee to assist the Membership in understanding what overall changes were made to the 2000–2004 Memorandum of Agreement as well as the changes to the last proposal voted down by the Membership.  Copies of this summary will be mailed to all Bargaining Unit Employee’s homes this week.

The Contract Proposals for the Membership have been printed and delivered to the System Council Office and will be given to each Local Union President at the special called meeting.  The Local Union Presidents will deliver the proposals to their Membership after that meeting.

 Each Local Union will be making arrangements to conduct the “Contract Vote” which will be reported to the System Council Recording Secretary on August 3, 2005.
