System Council Recommends Contract Offer

The System Council met in West Palm Beach, on Wednesday July 6^th, to discuss the changes to the recent Contract Proposal that comes with a unanimous recommendation to be accepted by the Negotiation Committee.

 The Negotiation Committee presented the changes to the Delegates.  During the meeting, a number of questions were asked and addressed.  The Delegates voted on the recommendation of the proposal.  The Proposal has been recommended both by the Negotiation Committee, as well as the System Council. 

 The Contract Proposals were picked up by the Presidents and Delegates and will be distributed throughout the state, to the locations within their jurisdictions.  The Presidents and Delegates of each Local Union will be communicating the changes to their membership.  The System Council office staff and the Negotiation Committee will be available to the Presidents and Delegates to answer any questions from the field that need further clarification or explanation.

 All votes on the proposal are to be completed and the results will be announced on August 3rd, 2005.  Absentee Ballots may be requested through your Local Union per the System Council Bylaws.  The ballots must be either hand delivered to the Election Judge or returned by US Mail.
